Aarhus Center for Health, Culture and Society

About

Aarhus Center for Health, Culture and Society (ACHCS) is a network of researchers concerned with humanistic and social science health research.

It engages with the domain of medicine and healthcare from different perspectives, drawing on sociological, philosophical, historical and ethnographic approaches and traditions. It deals with health-related topics and (often ethical) dilemmas in Danish as well as international contexts of global health.

The center aims to link research projects and interested researchers in an interdisciplinary network, to consolidate existing collaborations and to develop new collaborations, research areas and applications. Furthermore, it wishes to promote humanistic perspectives on health and well-being in public discourse.

The center welcomes all researchers with an interest in health, culture and society to join the network and participate in center activities.
